Modern Luxury Custom Home
Project Type: Historic Luxury Residential Restoration & Remodel
Approximate Project Size: 12,000 Square Feet: 12 Bedrooms | 13 Bathrooms
Approximate Project Cost: $2.8 Million
This project consisted of an extensive restoration and custom remodel of a historic luxury residence measuring approximately 12,000 square feet and containing 12 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms. Because of the property’s historic character, the renovation required special attention to preserving the architectural integrity and distinctive features of the residence while incorporating updated systems, materials, and modern functionality.
The project was initiated following significant water damage, which required substantial reconstruction, restoration, and replacement of damaged areas throughout the property. With an approximate project value of $2.8 million, the scope went far beyond standard water-damage repairs and involved a comprehensive restoration of this significant historic home.
The residence was extensively rebuilt and refinished using custom materials, specialty craftsmanship, and high-end finishes selected to complement the original character of the property. Particular attention was given to maintaining a cohesive design between the home’s historic architectural elements and the newly constructed areas.
The interior renovation included the installation of new custom hardwood flooring throughout the residence. Reclaimed wood was used extensively for architectural details, carpentry, and finish work, helping preserve the warmth, character, and authenticity appropriate for a historic property while providing the durability and quality expected in a luxury residence.
The project also included the construction and renovation of three separate custom kitchens. Each kitchen was designed with premium materials, custom cabinetry, specialty millwork, and high-end finishes while remaining consistent with the overall architectural character of the home.
In addition to the main residence, the project included extensive construction and renovation of the rear guest house, creating an additional fully finished living space designed to complement the historic character, craftsmanship, and luxury standard of the primary residence.
Due to the property’s size, historic nature, and extent of the original water damage, the project required extensive coordination across numerous construction disciplines, including demolition, restoration, interior reconstruction, flooring, cabinetry, custom carpentry, kitchens, bathrooms, specialty finishes, and guest-house improvements.
